Dedicated to Dee Hillier
This set of panels was inspired by my taking jazz dance lessons when I was in my early twenties. At that time, I studied for about three years. That I lasted that long is only due to the patience of my instructor, Dee Hillier, and the accompanying lack of males interested in dance during that time. Dee Hillier was and is a legend in the dance profession, being the inspiration and foundation of several generations of instructors. I did not know the history of which I was a part. Though I was not very good, I loved every minute and during that phase probably was in the best shape of my life. I lost contact with Dee over the years, but remember her with gratitude.
