Catalyst Conference in Georgia

Catalyst Conference in Georgia

The Catalyst Conference was held in Georgia, from October 8-10, with “labs” and “pre-labs” held the day before. The purpose of this eight year old conference: so your church can learn how to help the poor.

Cost of Registration so your church can help the poor: $309

Lab Fees so your church can learn how to help the poor: $129

Pre-Lab fees so your church can learn how to help the poor: $19

Hotel cost so your church can learn how to help the poor: $180 (minimum)

Amount of money spent actually helping the poor: $0

The pitiful irony of it all: Priceless

For most people, helping the poor involves giving them real aid; for modern Christians, there’s conferences.

Did you actually go to the conference?

No, I just read some blogs by people who did attend (and loved it, by the way). As I read the details, the whole thing just struck me as odd. The costs, however, are accurate as they have been pulled from the official conference website.
